Points System
Every completed match pays out points to all users who predicted a winner. Three factors determine your final haul:
Correct Prediction
Pick the winner, earn the base points. Simple.
Upset Bonus
The winning team had less than 50% of community votes. You backed the underdog.
Early Bird Bonus
You submitted your prediction 6 or more hours before the match started.
Maximum per match
Base (10) + Upset bonus (5) + Early bird (2)
How Predictions Work
Predictions can only be made on upcoming matches. Once a match goes live, the prediction window closes.
You can change your prediction any time before the match starts. Only your latest prediction counts.
Community vote percentages (the poll bars on each match card) are visible to everyone. Use them to spot where the crowd is leaning.
Wrong predictions earn zero points.No negatives, so always predict even if you're unsure.
Points are awarded once the official result is confirmed, usually within an hour of the match ending.
The Upset Mechanic
This is what separates great predictors from lucky ones. If fewer than half the community voted for the winning team, the result is classified as an upset. Every correct predictor earns a bonus 5 points.
Upset scenario
CSK wins. 35% of users picked CSK. Correct predictors earn 15 pts (10 base + 5 upset).
Normal scenario
MI wins. 65% of users picked MI. Correct predictors earn 10 pts (base only).
Private Leagues
Create a private league and invite friends with a unique invite code.
League leaderboards use the same points system. Your global points carry over with no separate tracking.
You can be in multiple leagues simultaneously.
The league owner can see who's joined; members can see the league leaderboard but not each other's individual predictions.
Cricdle: Daily Challenge
A daily Wordle-style bonus game. The answer is a cricketer's name (first or last) from today's IPL match. You have 6 guesses.
One new word per day. Resets at midnight.
Your progress is saved locally so you can come back to finish later.
A team hint is shown when the word is linked to today's match.
Season & Rankings
Rankings are season-long. Points accumulate from Match 1 to the Final.
Tiebreakers: if two users have equal points, the one with more correct predictions ranks higher.
The global leaderboard shows the top 50 predictors. Your rank and stats are always visible on your profile.
